Single phase circuit breaker


This is an internal fault in the circuit breaker. Early identification will avoid trip outs from unknown causes. Detection of this fault prevented futher trip outs, thereby ensuring maximum effecientcies

This is a faulty connection top of the circuit breaker on the white phase

Possible causes are: pinched insulation, stripped terminal screws, damaged screw heads, damaged cable strands or oxidation

CB's viewed with covers in place

With this example you can see clearly that there is a problem developing at the bottom of the CB. The cover will need to be removed to identify the nature and cause of the fault
